    *Depleting the Main Body will destroy the SDF, leaving the ship a wrecked hulk or exploding completely(50/50 chance) if the ship is wrecked, there is a 50% chance of any other section retaining life support under emergency power. Either way, Assent city will be destroyed, killing all civilians aboard.
    **Destroying the command tower will destroy the bridge, leaving the ship floating in space, crippled. Weapons aside from the main gun will still operate, but with no bonuses to hit, also, all other systems except navigation will be operable.
    ***Destroying the sensor suite renders the ship unable to fold or move at more than 2G acceleration, also, missiles may not fire and all weapons are at -4 to hit.
    +Destroying the Assent city Window will depressurise Assent city, killing all civilians.
    ++ Destroying an arm module will destroy half the ship’s mecha capacity.
    +++ Destroying the Right leg will destroy the Forest Module, and half the ship’s oxygen reproduction facilities. Destroying the Left leg will destroy the ship’s Farm Module, destroying the food production facilities. Destroying Either leg will Destroy 6 science cities.
    & Destroying a shoulder will destroy 3 Photon Beam cannons and separate the appropriate arm module.

    Power systems: Anti Matter generator with Fusion backup. Backup power gives 35% of top speed, cannot use the main gun or fold, 50% of weapons are off line, and the shield may only be used if drives and weapons are shut down.

    Weapon Systems:
    1.) ZCX77 Meson Accelerator

    The ship’s main gun, the Meson accelerator is so powerful that Gilles added other weapons only as an afterthought. It cannot be fired while the Reflex shield is in operation, however.

  • Mega Damage: Destroys Everything in its path of fire.
  • Range: 5.2 AU, however, at that range damage is severely limited.
  • Rate of Fire: Once every five minutes.

    2.) 6 Photon Beam Guns Mounted in the same position as the SDF-1s Rail Cannons, these are the primary anti ship weapons of the fortress.

  • Payload: Unlimited 2.) 10 Heavy Particle Cannons Used for in close combat, these weapons are modelled on Zentraedi guns, but with less power. Three are mounted on the exterior side of each leg, one on the exterior edge of each arm, the other two on the module between the legs, one fore and aft. Nine cannons can be brought to bear on almost any target

    3.) 40 Medium Range Missile Launchers The primary anti fighter weapons, these launchers are scattered evenly across the hull of the ship, concealed below retractable hull plates. Any warhead may be used, but high explosive, plasma, or multi-warhead are normally loaded.

  • Mega Damage: Varies By Missile type
  • Range: Varies with missile
  • Rate of Fire: Volleys of 1,2,4,8, or 10.
  • Payload: 10 missiles per launcher. When depleted, the launcher retracts and is reloaded, taking four melees to do so. Standard tactics in heavy combat is to launch volleys from ten launchers per melee to keep up a constant barrage.
    4.) 50 Light Particle Cannons The final line of defence, these cannons are spread out across the hull of the fortress, and are used only after all other weapons are firing.

    The Mordecai can scan out to 5 light years in real time, with a 1 second time lag per light year beyond that as far out as 15 light years. Perception is 50% inside one light year, with -3% per light year beyond that, but may always find an IHE mecha or ship in range.
  • Meson Communicators
    Mordecai has meson transmitters with range limits as for the sensors. The fortress is in constant contact with Spleens(until 2048 when Spleens are retired), any mecha, and other IHE ships in real time communications range
  • Fold Drive
    MC 144MT Super Fold Drive travels 66,666 Light Years in three days. The drive requires one day to recharge between jumps.
  • Reflex Shield
    Provides a 100,000 MDC shield covering the entire ship conformally. Damage is removed from shield MDC before any other component. Shield regenerates 500 MDC per turn. The shield can withstand a Reflex cannon blast. The shield may not fire while the main gun is charging or firing. However, the shield is synched so it can be dropped long enough to fire other weapons out and for two mecha to launch. If this happens, each weapon loses an attack per melee.
  • Mecha Compliment:

    Mordecai carried a large number of mecha, partly to compensate for the minimal weapons. The ship’s initial payload consisted of:

  • 800 Crash Hounds
  • 800 SRF-71J Iconoclasts
  • 200 SRF-71T Iconoclasts
  • 200 SRF-71R Iconoclasts

    In addition, the ship carried roughly 14,000 suits of Shock Diver Drop Suits, of which 2,000 were for mecha pilots, and the rest for Sturznaughts. Each Sturznaught had access to one Standard suit, and One Punishment class suit (in other words, a total of 6,000 Shock divers may be deployed independent of other mecha)
